Montreal Fetish Weekend 2008

Some of The-F-Mag team had the chance to be a part of the 4th Montreal Fetish Weekend. Guess what? Those who didn't go are still kicking themselves! Three days and nights of partying with kinsters from around the world.

Naughty as we are, we actually missed some of the activities. There were just so many things to see and do... We wished we could clone ourselves so we could take it all in. Photo exhibitions, play parties, kinky workshops, fashion shows, a movie release, the red carpet, cameras flashing, dancing untill 3am, playing until dawn! Eyes popping out at sexy men and women in full regalia gliding along the slippery floor (latex=lubricant!)...

Well, you get the idea: every bad girl and boy's dream come true!

The weekend kicked off with the release of Bianca Beauchamp's second movie and a photo exhibition, followed by three nights of fun: Kabaret Kink, Latextacy and FashionAsia.

In addition to the weekend's main events, 3 Sin Academy workshops were hosted by Ambrosia with featured guest of honor Maîtresse Francoise (France), along with Mistress Antoinette (USA). The workshops also showcased the magic of photographer Dominic Vincent (Embryo, Osmoze…) with model/designer Oizo, not to mention restriction experts Mistress Zyra and Malcolm.

The Montreal Fetish Weekend returns September 4th, 2009 (Labour Day Weekend).

Bianca Beauchamp All Access 2

The weekend kicked off with the World Premiere of Bianca Beauchamp ALL ACCESS 2: RUBBERIZED, which pretty much covers the lives of four very vibrant and unique individuals: Bianca Beauchamp, The Richard, Jean Bardot and RubberDoll during the 2007 Montreal Fetish Weekend. You get to see them interact with each other on a daily basis and generally just having fun and partying together.

The spectator also really gets a front row view of how a day in the life of international fetish star Bianca Beauchamp. We see her (and I mean REALLY see her!) during her dress rehearsals, interviews, photo shoots as well as doing shooters then going out with her fetish party friends. All in all it was a VERY busy weekend for Miss Beauchamp, yet she seemed very at ease in her role as a fetish icon. We really get the feel of how sexy and fun the Montreal Fetish Weekend can be, leaving the viewers wishing they were there right along with the cast.

The movie was loosely divided in three parts, one for each day and night, and at times seemed to drag along a little too slowly for my taste. It seems that some parts could easily have been edited out without diminishing the overall feelgood vibe of the movie, which already contains plenty of fun, partying. laughs, sexiness, fetish, and of course, latex.

Speaking of editing, I spoke with a visibly proud and happy Martin Perreault (the film's director/editor) and mentioned to him how the overall quality and editing of the film was extremely well done. He informed me that it took him well over 400 hours for the editing and was done on Adobe Premiere. Well Martin, let me add that your effort really paid off!

I also got to speak with The Richard before the showing and he informed me that he didn't even grab a sneak peek during the editing process as he wanted to be surprised and also wanted to see the movie for the first time right along with the rest of us. He, along with the rest of the cast were visibly very happy with the crowd's enthusiastic reactions.

Did I mention that the whole cast were extremely approachable? Every single one of them made themselves available to talk to us. The excitement the cast projected in the movie (wich was palpable) was still felt in the theatre long after the closing credits were shown. The audience was very expressive: they warmly and loudly cheered the appearance of every well-known and loved person in the film.

At the end of a very emotional speech, Perreault announced:

I would like to thank the fetish community for being supportive of this project. We invested ourselves wholeheartedly in the making of this film, and you made us feel welcome at the event with our cameras last year. You’re invited to grab a copy of the film and the music CD, at the price of your choice.

Kabaret Kink

This was the first of the three themed parties of the Montreal Fetish Weekend 2008. People were invited to dress in a Moulin Rouge fashion or in a formal and elegant way. As the crowd was growing in number, it reminded us how sexy and original people in the fetish scene like to dress.

 

Unlike the two other nights, Kabaret Kink was less intended for dancing and playing but had more of a Premiere feel to it. And that is as it should be, allowing medias and fans to speak to the cast members.

All and all, the night had a good feel to it. Everybody made their best effort to look as glamorous as possible. This gave the Fetish Weekend a very "Hollywood/Red carpet" setting. What a perfect way to start a 3-day weekend!

Latextacy

If you think that the Latextacy event is a night filled with very sexy people from all around the world dancing and gently rubbing their latex clad bodies together on a sometimes quite slippery floor from all the lubricant, well ummm you'd be absolutely 100% correct!

Personally, I really was astonished to see as many amazing looking people all gathered together in the same spot sharing the passion for fetish and more specifically, for latex. There was so much latex out there that the price tag must have been equal to the budget of a small country.

We here at The-F-Mag were quite amazed at how people were all easy going and willing to talk to us on any subject. Some of them came from as far as Europe and New Zealand just to attend the Montreal Fetish Weekend, and all of them agreed it was well worth it! The climax of the weekend, actually.

We still have plenty of material to fuel our fantasies till the next latextacy hit. We plan to attend again next year for sure and you should plan to go as well. See you there!

Don't you secretly wish to go in a fetish party without being recognised? Do you crave to show yourself in the most sexy and dary attire, feeling the desire in the eyes of people?

The Night of Masks Ball gathered the perfect ingredients for a play party under the FashionAsia theme. The playing area was located in the back of the club, the play stations hardly fitting in a VIP only "balcony" section. No real intimacy, a friendly lighting though... I must say that people seemed to really enjoy it! There were also few stations on the stage, allowing everyone to enjoy the show.

The Ball offered the great opportunity to feel the mood of a decadent masquerade ball, the mystery associated with voyeurism and the exotic asian theme for the costumes. We were so lucky to be there, to appreciate how creative people could be: from japanimation characters to geishas, from ninjas to sci-fi, from school girls to samurais... Please remind me to bring eye drops next time so I can keep my eyes open all night long!!!

Afterpartys

What could end a night out dancing with fellow kinksters better than an afterparty for more and more play? Well, if there IS something better, I guess the Fetish Weekend promoters (and all kinksters) would "kill" to know, because it's a darned good way to end a night!

The attendees of the Fetish Weekend were invited to party and play at Le Loft du Château (loosly translates to "The Castle's Loft"). The promoters had included the admission fees to the Loft in the Weekend pass. As the music was more subdued and the mood more intimate, it was a great opportunity to make new friends and share interests, or just chat about the day's pleasures. I personnally had the chance to meet a dom and a latex lover (sub) with whom I had a wonderful time. One on one play is great, but TWO on one's even better
