I know that since the feet are the lowest part of the body and can be considered unclean and un-hygienic by many, it could seem at first glance that the worship of the foot can seem to be "low" or "slavey".

This of course can be considered erotic for those who have submissive tendencies but this doesn't mean that all lovers of the female foot are submissive by nature. You'd be surprised at the number of people (even those in the so-called BDSM community) who think that foot lovers are consequently submissive.

I could barely count how many times, when I mention that I have a foot fetish, that people reply:"Oh, so you're a sub then".

Not necessarily. I have a few of my male friends who even peg themselves as Dommes and have this fetish. They just enjoy the shape of feet that's all.

For centuries the female foot has been considered erotic, going back to the 21st century BC in the Chinese culture with the earliest paintings depicting males kissing and caressing female feet. They couldn't have been all subs.

So while there's really nothing wrong with being a sub ( God knows I'd be the first to say so) foot fetishism and slavery, for lack of a better word, do not necessarily go hand in hand.
